UNLV ORFF CERTIFICATION - SUMMER
2007
The purpose of this communication is to encourage you to
start, continue, finish or refresh your Orff Levels training.
Click on each of the links to find out more information about
the UNLV Summer Certification Course.
1 - The text to our traditional
"glossy" brochure. Your principal should receive
a brochure via school mail soon. If you are a member of AOSA,
you also will receive the actual brochure via US mail. You
can also pick up a real brochure at the Chapter Workshop at
Wasden this Sat., Jan. 27. Kay Lehto will be there to answer
any questions.
2- A one
page informational sheet on the course
3 - The recruitment
letter sent to your principal to ask for the school's
support of your continued professional growth
4 - A flyer,
also sent to your principal to encourage classroom teachers
to enroll in Level I
5 - A registration
form
Liaison Position Available
I am also looking for a course liaison. The course will waive
the $525 training/certification fee for that individual. The
liaison completes many tasks as assigned such as: ---arranges
for the borrowing of instruments for the course if we cannot
meet the requests of our instructors with UNLV equipment and
the instruments supplied by WEST Music
--- is available Friday and Sat., July 6 & 7 for course
set up. This includes lifting and unpacking many boxes of
Orff instruments. It is not a task for the physically challenged.
It is a physically hard day.
---moving instruments between rooms as needed
---assisting with transportation for clinicians
---assisting with packing up the instruments used during
the course and returning borrowed instruments on Friday, July
20. This is also a very physically demanding day.
---basically being on call to do what is needed.
It is suggested that this person not be enrolled in Level
III, as the course is demanding enough without the extra burdens
of the liaison's job.
If you are interested in the liaison position please send
me a statement indicating why you think you should be considered
via interact or orffjune@aol.com.
Thanks for considering our course. Hope to see many of you
this summer.
